Hidden Humor!

Wasn’t tag the game where we ran away to avoid being tagged “it”?! . . .  My how things have changed. . .(or have they?)  Actually I was “warned” that I was going to be tagged . . . & I have been - by Anne at Bunny Tales. But when I saw that the ‘tag’ was titled the “Thinking Blogger Award. . .  I must admit. . . I giggled. ‘Thinking’ is not what I consider my strong suit these days (of getting ready for quilt market. . . ). It’s more like a ‘fuzzy-brain’ syndrome that I have. . .
Anyway, with the ‘heads-up’ that I got, I have spent the day pondering who I would tag. It’s harder than you might think - as there are so many of you that I would tag! But the ‘directions’ state that I am to tag five of the blogs that I find the most inspirational & fun. . . See?! That is next to impossible! I think that is why we love blogging so much. . . we find inspiration in so many people & their blogs. But I’m not one to break rules easily. . . (okay. . . it’s really called whimpiness. . . ), so these are the blogs that make me smile & push me to learn & do more:
(note: some of these folks have already been tagged - but I couldn’t help myself. . . they are that good!)
• One of the two blogs that always makes me smile is Pam at PAMKITTYMORNING. That girl always puts me in a better mood. . . . & she loves 30’s repro fabrics!!! Also Pam is one of those people that quilt designers - would refer to as an “Angel”. She helps Elizabeth (The Late Bloomer) with getting her designs ready for market. . .  I tell you folks - friends like that are gold, I tell you. . .  g o l d! So thank you Pam for brightening my day. . . . over & over!
•  The other blog that is too - too funny & I love reading the escapades posts. . .  is Monica at The Happy Zombie.  Reading Monica’s blog is so refreshing. . . & you never know what to expect! I mean. . . who else has a Hello Kitty sewing machine  that has her own name (Mimi) & that takes a word tour. . . sends e-mails. . . & photos of her adventures! Too funny!  (I also have a confession. . . when I first read a post that “Mimi” had sent. . .  I didn’t realize that Mimi was her sewing machine. . .  I thought it was her daughter. . . !. . . I was having a  s l o w day - obviously(!) It took me a few more posts to catch on!  Then I couldn’t help but laugh out loud each time. . . .)  Monica - you are a joy!
•  A blog that I go to each day. . . is Tracey Buxton at  Notes From A Cottage Industry. Tracey is a wonder as she not only accomplishes so much (!) but she also takes on life & all that it brings with such grace. She simply inspires me in so many ways.  (And, she very rarely misses posting a new post each day!) Thank you Tracey - for raising the bar of looking at - & living life so well.
•  As a designer - it is always so inspiring (& comforting!) to see what other designers are doing & what they are going through. . . & Elizabeth Scott of The Late Bloomer is just one of those people! I was so happy to find that Elizabeth’s booth was right behind mine at the last quilt market & I could hardly  believe that it was her first market! Her design sense & abilities are incredible. . . & she is such a sweet person! Watch out quilting world!. . .  here comes Elizabeth! (& you better start lining up now for her new book. . . “The ABC’s of Words on Quilts”. . . it looks wonderful!)
•  Because this is a lady that I have admired for so many years & has inspired me way before blogs were ever thought of. . . Barbara Brandeburg is someone whose blog is such an inspiration for me to read. Her outlook on design & her willingness to reach out & embrace new styles is what true designers do well. To read her blog is to see the world through her designer’s eyes. . . & it is a wonderful & exciting one! I can’t wait to see what Barbara will be doing next! Thank you Barbara for your continued inspiration!
• And next is. . .  oops. . . time’s up. . . (not fair!) So please know that all of you out there in this warm, wonderful blog-dom. . . I also nominate you. . . because you encourage me with your comments & e-mails. . . . Here’s to many more moments of  inspiring & encouraging each other!
