Christ in us, Christ with us, Christ through us

The Story of God is Christ. He is the alpha (beginning) and omega (end) of the redemptive epic laid out in the Scriptures. A friend pointed out the “we are God’s workmanship” verse in Ephesians 2:10 literally reads “we are God’s poem”. His beautiful words and full expressions are manifested in and through us. So we become apart of the Story of God. Not the main character but a humble place that we may behold the star power of Jesus. It is so simple. Maybe so simple it is overlooked. My church focuses on three vital relationships: intimacy with Christ, community with believers and influence in the world. I would say Christ in us is the intimacy, Christ with us is community, and Christ through us is influence in the world. That is alot of “Christs” and some what repetitive but isn’t that keeping Him center stage? In the spotlight. I am not talking about Jesus Christ Superstar even though I heard it was a good play. I am talking about the living Christ walking this earth through me, through us.

Today, I breathed. I looked up at the beautiful sky and took a deep breath. I sat down inside and rested. Life has been hectic to say the least. So I breathed and it was sweet. I then smiled. My part in God’s story is a small one and probably overdone. My desire is to let Him write the Story through me wherever I go - He goes and His hand never gets tired.
thank you Jesus for a good day. thank you for my family and especially for my wife.
