\Way of Cacao\

… WE HONOR THIS SACRED FRUIT SET BEFORE US, TO NOURISH AND GIVE LIFE, SO THAT WE MAY CONTINUE ON…”

...from exploring the valleys of coastal Venezuela, the volcanoes of Nicaragua, the wet earthen roads of the Bahian Mate Atlantica, the surreal fields of Bali or the blue interior of the mystic Lancandon Forest; i have come to behold cacao in her grace.  to respect her sanctity and to honor those that came before us.

a fruit unique in form.

her nectar quenches the arid tongue...

her seeds give rise to the receiving...

she feeds me.  her gifts of joy.  she feeds me...

one just has to say, ‘yes’....

Welcome to my chocolate journal.

An evolving diary of my journeys thru the expansive and changing world of cacao, her people, expressions thru chocolate and all her other magical manifestations.

I hope this website will also serve you, the viewer, perhaps consumer, as a way to expand your appreciation for the complexities of cacao, the countries where it is grown, the people that grow it and the making of chocolate.  And for my fellow chocolate makers, marketers, growers or enthusiasts to perhaps share something new, debate something i say,  or simply use as a forum to share our morphing knowledge of this divine gift.
