The stars at night are big & bright...

I’m coming to you live from Dallas, Texas where I’m doing my first job as an auto show product specialist. It’s really kind of fun! In fact, this isn’t really an auto show. It’s actually a part of the Texas State Fair.

In the heart of the state fair is The Cotton Bowl. Pretty cool to see in person even though my only past reference to it is in relation to college football and AT&T.

And what kind of State Fair would it be without fried food on a stick? So on my break I roamed the fair a little bit and ate some deliciously unique treats:

Donkey Tails
“All-beef franks, slit on one side and generously stuffed with sharp cheddar cheese, wrapped tightly in a large flour tortilla and fried until golden brown. Served with mustard, chili sauce [I had that] or Ruth’s salsa.”

I liked it. Yes, I like Donkey Tails.
And this next thing was probably the most unique food I’ve ever eaten.

Fried Coke
“Deep-fried spheres of Coca-Cola-flavored batter, drizzled with Coke fountain syrup, topped with whipped cream, cinnamon sugar and a cherry.”

I didn’t get a cherry! Other than that it was pretty good. Reminded me of warm beignets with some Coke syrup at the bottom. The roof of my mouth was tore up after eating it. But still, I enjoyed the uniqueness of it.

So there you have it. Day One of Five down. Hey, if you can tell me which auto company I’m working for I’ll send you a keychain or a cd (or both!). Here’s a hint:
