Children are an important part of the life of our church here at First Presbyterian Church of Oceanside.  They are encouraged to participate in all aspects of worship while the staff and volunteers of this ministry seek to make Christ meaningful and alive to them.  We offer nourishment for the spiritual growth of children through many programs including Sunday school, childcare, choirs, Safe Harbor, VBS and special outreach events.  We also offer support to parents through Family Worship Sundays, free Bibles at age 4 and again at third grade. You are invited to join us on a Sunday morning at 8:30 or 10:00 am for worship or at one of our many ongoing events for children and families.

Upcoming Events: October 18-November 15

October 25th, 4:00-6:00pm – All Hallows Eve.  Wear your costume and come for games, treats, bluegrass music, food and fellowship.  Donations are still being accepted.

Wednesdays, 1:00-5:00pm - Safe Harbor After-School program is still accepting registrations. 

November 10 @ 6:00pm – Childcare is available during the monthly Children’s Ministry Meeting.  Please come to serve our ministry.  Call Maru at ext. 101 to make childcare reservation.

November 12 @ 9:00am & 1:00pm, November 13 @ 9:00am – Lapsit Storytime starts in the new Children’s Library in Room 101. This month: A Gift to Give.

November 15th – Family Worship Sunday – The 3rd Sunday of each month, children remain in worship with their families.

Advent Candle Lighters – Families are invited to light an advent candle at the each of the 11 services from Nov 29th to Dec 24th.  Please contact Maru at ext.101 or children@fpcoceanside.org to sign up for a service.

Where do the children go? – All children’s services have been moved to the hallway we have designated as “The Children’s Wing”.  This hall now offers one flowing space for Sunday school (Room 105), Nursery and Childcare (Room 106) connected in the interior.  Open house coming soon.
