Biography

Dr. Fowle is an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas in the Department of Geology where he teaches classes in Environmental Geology, Biogeochemistry, and Aquatic Geomicrobiology.  Prior to his arrival at KU, Dr. Fowle was a Canada Research Chair in Biogeochemistry at the University of Windsor and the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research where he is currently an Adjunct Professor of Earth Sciences.


Beyond his duties at KU, Dr. Fowle serves as secretary for the Mineralogical Association of Canada, and serves on the International Committee for the  International Symposium for Environmental Biogeochemistry.  Dr. Fowle is currently organizing special sessions at the Frontiers in Mineral Science Conference and the 30th Congress of the International Association of Theoretical and Applied Limnology.
