Ways to Give

The Foundation accepts gifts on behalf of Washington County School District that will enhance the education of students in our area.

For some, charitable giving is part of a plan to realize tax benefits.  Cash gifts, appreciated securities, real estate, personal property, life insurance, wills, and bequests are examples that enable donors to become eligible for sizable tax deductions and to avoid capital gains taxes.  Other gifting vehicles such as charitable remainder trusts and gift annuities provide additional income, even for a lifetime.

Endowment Funds:

Endowments are an attractive way to give a lasting gift by providing an ongoing income to ensure that the goals of the designated program are achieved.  Endowments are invested to continue to generate funds in perpetually, as only the annual interest earnings are used to run the program.

Cash Donations:

Cash or checks are the most simple ways to donate to the Foundation for Students of Washington County.  Your donation will be used precisely for what you specify and is tax-deductible.  Donations may be mailed or brought to the District Office.

Planned Giving:

Through a planned gift, your donation is an important legacy for the future of the children of Washington County and will make a difference in many lives long after your lifetime.  You will help to assist students to be provided with a quality education that will help them achieve their future goals.  Some planned gifts also provide increased income and estate taxes.

Our Foundation Board has qualified professionals who are willing to sit down with you and discuss ways you can donate.

Tribute Gifts:

Gifts may be made in a memory of a family member, friend, special teacher, or anyone who you feel should be recognized.  An example is that bricks may be purchased and placed in our Woodward Plaza.
