Did your momma ever tell ya?

If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all??  haha  Opinions about our dogs seem to be unanimous, but hey, that’s ok.  People have been calling me weird forever; I think my dogs can handle it.  They’ll end up in a sweater (out of necessity, not vanity) and no one will notice anything but the crappy sweater they’re wearing. haha  As a whole, they’re doing really well.  I’ll tell ya though, getting two dogs at once, totally the way to do it.  They play with each other, keep each other warm, and have that sisterly bond that’s keeping them happy.  Oh, and Sue gets the gold star for the name reference.  Leave it to my kids to pick weird names for our weird dogs.  Last night I shaved off all their scraggle-hair.  The mohawks are gone and their faces have been clipped.  Next I’m thinking of tapping their ears.

HAPPY YEAR OF THE EARTH RAT!!!  This is usually the time of year where I reevaluate the resolutions I made on January 1st.  So far I’m not doing too well on the weight loss and the no-yelling thing, but we’re working on the debt.  We went and had our taxes done this week, so we’re hoping to hear back from our accountant in the next couple of days to find out what our return is going to be.  100% of that will be going towards paying off debts.  Then with our Economic Stimulus check, we hope that we can start our adoption fund.
On Thursday I read Ten Mice for Tet to Diesel’s class.   It went okay but how well can 3 and 4 year olds sit for a talk about a holiday they don’t care about.  For celebration tonight we went and had Pho with friends.  We tried a new Pho place this year and while the service was really great, the pho was just ok. So we’re back to square 1.  Our normal place has excellent food but the service is terrible and the waitresses are not very nice.  Portlanders out there have any suggestions??  What his new place had though was GREAT Vietnamese Iced Coffee.  No, I didn’t have one, but I did have sips of Matt’s.  I’m still going strong with my no-coffee kick.  I’m rapidly approaching 2 weeks and the headaches are getting better and better.  Lola is doing SO much better without the caffeine.  There was a period of time, not too long ago, where there was 14 days between her poopy diapers....however, now that I’m off caffeine, it’s been happening every 3 days!  Of course that makes us all happier.  Who would have known that crap could make me feels so happy?
Oh and I watched Juno for the first time the other day.  It was really cute.  If you want to watch it, my friend Joel posted it on his blog for all to see.   That’s right, the full length movie can be found here.  It’s a good watch if you have a fast internet connection and 90 minutes of free time...oh and of course, you have to be ok with annoying Chinese subtitles.  No reading Chinese needed.
Finally, I will leave you with a picture of Lola trying to see how many fingers she can cram into her mouth.
