**Isn’t that photo beautiful? It’s a photo of the Dead Sea at sunset....love it.
So most of this weekend was uneventful. In fact, I can’t even remember what I did on Friday or Saturday....but Sunday was great.
For those of you who remember me talking about that big test I had on the 1st of June, well that was this Sunday. It was scary at first. I showed up just barely on time, having had no breakfast, no coffee, and very little sleep. Sounds like a recipe for disaster doesn’t it? Now why would I do such a thing when I have a very serious test? Well Kinh is sick so my sleep was hindered, and Diesel had his piano recital the same day so I had to get them ready in the morning, hence the no time for coffee or food....then I had a hard time finding the building. Are you anxious for me to tell you how I did? Well.....There were 3 sections of the test; reading, writing, and math. My reading and math scores were available right away and scored on a scale that tops out at 190. SO?!?! I got a 185 on both sections!! That’s a 185 out of a possible 190! I’ll get my writing score in 2 weeks.
Now I’m working hard to study for the next test. Mathematics Basics. On the practice tests I’m doing ok, but could be better. So, I’m trying to find a good, and cheap, tutor. I have until the 14th of June to study, and then 4 weeks after that to wait for my score! I have alot riding on this one test. It’s the last step to my final chance at grad school for this year.
Diesel’s recital was great. He was good - in a preschool kindda way. I guess as good as you can expect a preschooler to be when listening to a huge group of kids play the piano. haha Of course I have video of the whole thing but I’m lazy and it’s still on my camera. I’ll let you know when I have it uploaded.
Now, I’m sure you’re reading all this and thinking, “how does this have anything to do with the title of the post?” Well let me tell you, Kinhly is sick. And now we’re all getting it. Yesterday I broke down and took her to the doctor and our mystery was solved. First the doc checked her throat for Strep. Negative. Next was a urinary sample to check for a UTI. Negative. Then there’s a blood sample for a check of her white cell count. All was good. Finally, a chest x-ray to check for pneumonia. Bingo! We had a winner. My poor baby has pneumonia and has been fighting a fever, the urge to vomit (which she actually did twice!) and a nasty cough for the whole weekend. She’s been a trooper, but boy-o-boy is she a mean sick! You ever known a mean drunk? This girl is a mean sick! I pity her future boyfriends! When she finds a man (or woman - whatever) to marry, that will be my only question, “Have you ever seen her sick?”
I think we’ve had to fill scripts for antibiotics 6 times this year alone! 6 times!! We truly are swimming in a sea of germs this year!!
