That’s right: Matt and I got iPhones! I. Am. SO. In. Love. Seriously. Now everything is in one place; no need to carry an iPod, a Palm Pilot, a phone, and a camera (although I will always bring my little camera, just in case). AND, since I have a Mac at home I can sync them and have everything saved under my .Mac account. So I urge you, if you’re out of contract with your current carrier, or already with AT&T, get one. Seriously.....especially if you’re already a Mac user.
Now I have to say that the comments on my last post totally cracked me up! I guess the fact that my kids are addicted to Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network is totally my fault. I’m something of a cartoon addict myself....Currently on the DVR we have 10 episodes of FlapJack, 8 new episodes of Spongebob, various episodes of The Mighty Bee, and a handful of Chowder. Based on those numbers you shouldn’t be surprised when I tell you that I watch them even when the kids aren’t around. I would gladly force my children to watch things on the Discovery Kids channel....if I could stand it myself. Some of you stated your case so well, I had a few emails from readers who were afraid to post about their kids watching Hannah Montana! haha You’re all SO intimidating!!
So I promised that I would share my preference and it’s a resounding ICARLY! That show is SO cute. She’s smart, adorable, funny, and a WAY better example for young kids then Hannah Montana. Matt catches me watching iCarly even when there are no kids in the room. I’m pretty sure that I’ve seen them all but if I’m watching TV alone and there’s an episode I haven’t seen on, I’ll totally watch it. Shhh! It’s one of my dirty little secrets. haha
I also promised you pictures from Kinhly birthday! We had alot of fun at her little party. I just can’t believe that my little girl is 4 years old!!
Random Party Shots:
Matt and Lola! It’s getting harder and harder to hold that girl! She’s all over the place!
Lola and Papa (Matt’s dad).
Kinhly and my friend Saryn.
Kinhly and her favorite lady.
Getting ready to open presents.
Seems like a happy girl!
Then the cake comes out and she starts to pout! Looks JUST like last year --->
Kinhly’s 3rd b-day! Maybe cake just makes her sad?!
One of her presents was a trunk full of dress-up gear. She changed 2 or 3 times that night.
She also got a tea-set (eco-friendly) made from recycled pop bottles.
One of my favorite presents that Kinhly got for her birthday is a dress that she got from her great-grandma Mimi. Isn’t it beautiful?:
And finally, I thought I would throw in some random photos just for good measure:
Kinhly has recently become OBSESSED with the movie Annie. Much like Mia, she loves anything that has singing and dancing. She loves to sing “you’re never fully dressed without a smile!” And then she throws her fingers up like these photos.
You’re never fully dressed without a SMILE!
Diesel’s a little less camera happy than the girls but here’s one just cause he’s getting SO handsome!
Now lets test who is still paying attention. Last week I accepted a job at my old school (you remember the alternative high school?) I’m now their IEP Records Manager. It’s just under 10 hours a week so it’s not demanding, but it’s a good way to keep my foot in their door while I do grad school. THAT’S RIGHT! It looks like I will be getting a letter of acceptance from that Part Time Web Based Masters in Education Program I applied to. Since I passed that big scary math test and my experience was strong, they invited me for an interview last week. The interview went really well and I got an email from the director of the program yesterday saying that letters were going out today and that it “....looked good.” YAY! Now this isn’t some fly-by-night school...this is a very highly respected state college. Their teachers are very well respected and coveted. I’ll let you guys know when I get the letter! YAY again!
School starts soon....who’s ready?!
