The picture says it all guys! I have a RAGING case of writer’s block. It’s so frustrating. I think I’ve had 3 or 4 posts started and then about 2 paragraphs in, the idea is dead and so is my motivation.
There’s no news on school, no news on the final tests scores, and no new news on the adoption. We’re in a holding pattern here and it’s really becoming a test of my will. I can’t make a choice about school until I get my test scores and the test scores should be here by the 15th. But then if I failed the test then it doesn’t really matter what I want to do, because I’ll only have one choice - which really isn’t a choice at all.
So how does one solve the issue of writer’s block? Well you’ve read the title haven’t you?? It’s a picture post!! Yay! I have TONS of photos that I have yet to share with you guys so I am taking this as an opportunity.
These are photos from the 4th of July when we lit off fireworks in our front yard. My mom’s RV was parked here so it’s in the background of most photos. For some reason my camera had this hazy thing going on. I’m hoping it was just the weather or the way the lighting was and not a broken camera thing.
Can you see Lola’s fangs in that picture??
Diesel loved watching the fireworks, even when they were too loud.
She’s SSOOO excited!
Still excited!!
It’s barely sundown and we’re already just about done with the fireworks. Diesel’s a happy boy. See Matt’s sister (on the left) and her fiance (on the right).
Happy girl with her sprinkler!
She was just as happy this year as she was last year. What can I say, the girl loves her fireworks!!
Now we’re going further back to the heat-wave we had. We were having crazy heat (like in the 90’s!) so we broke out the pool!
Lola didn’t like the water at all!
She was not a happy camper. So we got her out of the water.
But she just couldn’t get her hand out of it.
Apparently it tasted pretty good too.
Kinhly wasn’t wearing a shirt so I had to edit her photos to cut out the fact that she wasn’t wearing anything but underwear! haha
She’s become very excited about goggles and wears them anytime water is involved - including the bath!
Lola got more and more excited about the water and ended up getting in without the crying.
Diesel loves to pose for photos!
My mom and Diesel in the pool.
Now going even further back. Did you guys know that I grew up on a farm? Well part of my family still lives there and from time to time we go back to have awesome food from my step-mom and blow things up with my step-dad. The kids get most excited about feeding the animals though:
My little brother and Lola.
Diesel taking the bottle to the barn.
Kinhly is kindda scared of the calf.
She’s looking for an out. Who can rescue her?
Diesel was having the time of this life!
Aunty Shelby to Kinhly’s rescue!
After the sun went down and the kids went to bed, my brother, my step-dad, and my cousin, all broke out the TNT and we blew some stuff up. Matt loved it. (Side note - my step-dad is a big-wig in the county and handles the TNT everyday at work. We were totally safe and there was not even any drinking involved.)
Last little bit of photos here. Do you guys remember the last photos I posted of Kinhly when we were on our way to a wedding? Well here are the photos from the wedding itself. Isn’t she pretty?
She was loving the fact that the plates were clear!
I wonder how the world looks through the eyes of a 3 year old, through the view of a plastic plate....
No words. haha
A girl and her dad.
Matt’s sister, Tonja, and her fiance, Jen....again. Aren’t they a cute couple?
Alright guys, I think that’s all, I think you’re all caught up now. Oh WAIT! Kinhly has started taking photos with my camera. The girl is obsessed. Here is her budding work:
Isn’t she talented?
I think that’s about all for today. I hope you have all enjoyed my little stroll through the last few months. I’ll work through the writers block as long as you promise to keep checking back.
