I still have a couple of days left in my caffeine experiment, but I can see the difference in Lola already.  Darn it!  There was an issue last week where she hadn’t pooped in 14 days!  But just 4 days after my caffeine kick, she pooped, and then again the next day, and again the day after that (which was today.)  So she’s happier in that way, and it makes us all happier.  But I miss my coffee, and as the post title suggests, I’ve had a headache everyday for several days.    Darn it again!  Lola’s been doing her best at keeping me company.  All day, nothing but talking and talking and talking....SO cute!

On the sickness front, I’m officially the only one NOT sick.  Darn it again, again.  Do you guys know why men are such big babies when they’re sick?  Matt’s the worst.  haha  Diesel is getting better. He hasn’t had a real bad fever in a couple of days but I don’t think we’re out of the woods quite yet.  He’s getting a fever again off and on.  He’s needed meds twice today for a very low-grade fever (my mommy-thermometer says that both temps have been under 101*.)  Tonight I was tucking him in to bed and he turned to me and said, “Mommy, I don’t feel like myself.”  So it looks like tomorrow will be day #5 of no school for little D.  I’ll be calling the doc first thing to get him in.  It sucks because that means I’ll be there with all 3 kids and I hate taking all of them to the doctor for just one of them.  Diesel and Kinhly are so protective of each other (and of Lola) that for just one to get a shot, I have to fight the other one too.  Alone.  I’ll have to let you know how it goes....if I survive.

In other news, we’re thinking of getting a dog.  I’ve been looking at craigslist, the humane society, and the local rescues but so far nothing has jumped out at us.  Oh wait, I spoke too soon: there was an ad on craigslist earlier tonight for a 5 month old 1/2 Chinese Crested, 1/2 toy Poodle mix puppy.  I emailed the owner but haven’t heard back yet.  Keep your fingers crossed for us.
