And: announcing a limited edition portfolio of work by the above artists
Collective Access celebrates a community of artists at the heart of the AS220 Print Shop. These 10 "keymembers" -- keepers of the key with 24-hour access -- share collective responsibility for running the print shop. Part of a larger group of artists involved in the shop, their synergy gives rise to an art collective, literally and creatively.
Each keymember is represented in the exhibition, working in media ranging from intaglio, screenprinting, and chine colé to ceramic and balloons. Additional work by other print shop participants will be available in the flat files.
For this exhibition, the print shop has published a limited edition of 5 portfolios. Each set contains 9 prints and drawings, each individually signed and numbered by the artists, plus a colophon. The portfolio is housed in an archival, custom cloth-bound portfolio box, embossed with the chop of the AS220 Print Shop.
