Built in 1959, the structural elements of this residence include fir post and beam, used brick and open window walls. The single slope of the roof creates increasingly intimate rooms as one walks from the large common living room through the private wing. The house is counter-balanced by the lower roofed canopy and carport. The ceiling beams exposed throughout the house support the deck and built-up gravel roof. The masonry walls sit at perpendicular angles to the window walls, which opens the space to the outside woods. Note the pattern of the south facade masonry wall.
