Some of you may be interested in how this web site was created. The information below is for you—and for me.
The web hosting is done by Apple. I have a MobileMe account and I use iLife ’08 tools on an iMac to create content. I should note that I’m still new to using Apple gear and software. (The equipment arrived at the end of February, 2007 and I started creating this site at the beginning of March, 2007.)
The iMac I’m using is based on an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.
The www.rs2fly.com and rs2fly.com domain names were registered for five years through Yahoo starting on February 23, 2005. I’ll renew the site after the domain name reservation expires.
The pictures of the flies and of Rim and his friends were taken with a 5 megapixel Canon PowerShot A95 digital camera. I used a Canon 250D 52MM Close Up Lens on some of the RS2 photos.
The pictures on the tying page were taken by professional photographers. They are given credit at the bottom of the tying page.
I will use a Sony DCR-HC48 camcorder to shoot the videos.
The podcasts will be recorded with a Blue Snowball USB Microphone.
In order to create richer content than was available on the old site, I payed no attention to file sizes this time.
