Judy Henske’s music in the ‘60s never found much commercial success, probably because the diversity of her “rambling, wickedly funny song intros, whacked-out murder ballads, and wryly delivered torch songs and standards” never leant them-self to tidy and marketable categorization. I’ve known about her for a few years, thanks to my spiritual guide Swami Almond Roca, who just wrote about the new Rhino Handmade selection of her work.

Take it from me, you can’t do any better than checking out music recommended by The Swami (or his minions).
