i enjoy extended periods with an exclusive franchise on my own company. i like the freedom from distraction. i like the outer silence that fertilizes introspection. i like doing as i please. and i like me. sometimes it's quite the party.
but i'm a more social being than i was as a youth. while i'm not handicapped by solitude, as many monkeys are, i have come to enjoy the company of other naked apes. well, at least the ones i regard as my friends.
