Isabel has been absorbed in My Little Pony for the last few months. Morning, noon, and night was spent playing “Ponyville”. Last week as we drove around town for something I found and put in her Disney Princess CD sing-a-long. All the princesses, one after another, serenaded us on our way. “There’s something sweet and almost kind...” and along we went. When suddenly my dear princess spun into a panic (as she sometimes does). I turned off the music (It’s hard to hear all the way from the back seat) and said, ‘Isabel what is that matter?’ Here was her reply....
“MOM!!! (she screamed) What am I going to do? I haven’t been a princess in Y-E-A-R-S I’ve been playing My Little Pony for A-G-E-S and now I don’t know. I just haven’t been a princess, I haven’t dressed up or played princesses in YEARS, what am I going to do?”
Oh such sweet dilemmas.
I wonder at the gift of exaggeration females have at such a young age.
