Like mentioned in our some of our previous posts, our overall vision includes the formation of a number of communities of faith (with people numbering from 12 to 100+) that meet together on a weekly basis throughout Lima.  In order for all these groups to realize and feel that they are a part of a bigger network, we hope to have "group gatherings" about once a month where everybody gets together.  It will be a time to take communion as an entire group, to worship together, and to celebrate our shared life in Christ. 

Our first "gathering" was in March, and at that time there was just one community of faith meeting.  This time there were three, and all in all we had over 65 people in attendance!!!  It was incredible.  We rented a small room in a community center, all brought some finger foods and celebrated!!  There was also a time of  low-key conversation, the reading of Scripture, singing, and prayer.  We also used it to communicate Bible studies that are going on, and outreach activities in place.    

Our next gathering is scheduled for the last Sunday in June.  In between we hope to nurture the small groups meeting in homes, and encourage more groups to be established around Lima.  To God be the Glory!!  Click here to see more pictures
