Ever since their formation in 2003 An Emergency have wowed crowds with their cathartic live shows consisting of slicing guitars, deep synths, pounding drums and flailing limbs. They’ve released records on a handful of the UK underground’s best independent labels (Captains Of Industry, Vacuous Pop, Freakscene Records), been championed by influential publications (www.

drownedinsound.com, Rocksound) and made friends all over the UK indie punk scene.

 

Their riff-heavy, complex yet danceable take on art rock has earned them comparisons with the likes of Hot Snakes, Ex Models, Les Savy Fav and Sonic Youth. They have played shows with many of their peers both from the UK and abroad, and have secured their place as one of the UK’s brightest hopes in the burgeoning DIY scene.
