Shooting at Little Estero Lagoon

Little Estero Lagoon, located in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, has always been one of the primary bird photography location in Florida. It requires a lot of walking and crossing over water a few times, but the amount and variety of birds is always rewarding.
In the past few weeks, the amount of Roseate present has been greater than in prior years and we are taking advantage of it, It is important to check the tides before going, since a high tide will not let you get to some of the places. The best place to stay is the Holiday Inn n Estero Blvd, because of beach access and comfort coming back full of mud and not having to drive.
Beach access is limited because of the difficulty of crossing through private property. There  are many condos along the shore line.
Low light is specially interesting in the Lagoon because of the colorful reflections of the buildings. This happens in the late afternoon, sun setting on the condos and Lagoon.
If you have never been there, you owe it to yourself to visit. Remember you water shoes and plenty of drinking water.
