Anhinga feeding chick

This picture was taken at Wakodahatcee Wetlands, Delray Beach, a water plant facility of Palm Beach County.
We did have some chicks at Anhinga Trail, Everglades, but have lost them all, don’t know if due to the cold spell we had, although Wako is further North and those made it.
The mother eats the fish, wait a while, and after the chicks beg repeatedly, regurgitates and feeds each chick from inside her throat, it looks like very deep!

It’s tough to be a mother
