Happy to announce that the new Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band CD called ‘I’m Beboppin’ Too’ is now available and getting great reviews!!! The new Roy Hargrove Big Band CD ‘Emergence’ has just been released and it is also getting great reviews and people are already calling and emailing me telling me how much they are enjoying it... I am happy to have played Lead Trumpet on both of those new CD projects! Just finished playing Lead Trumpet at the Iridium, NYC last week with the new Christian McBride Big Band....can’t wait til they get THAT band into the studio!!!! Going back to Japan in December and will playing at the Kennedy Center for New Years Eve -- And just played Lead Trumpet at the Hollywood Bowl with the Dizzy Gillespie Big Band AND with the Roy Hargrove Big Band at the same concert on the same night....Wayne Bergeron got a kick out of that!!! Just returned from Miami where I worked with some great students during my Clinic at the University of Miami. Also just recorded a really cool CD project with my friend Steve Guerra as well...
