EU to screen at Austin Gay & Lesbian Film Fest!

We just received the date for the EQUALITY U screening at the Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival. It will be playing on September 4th at 5:30pm at the Alamo Ritz in downtown Austin.

Outfest has announced their screening date for EQUALITY U!

We’re thrilled to have another prime weekend timeslot: Saturday July 19th at 2:00pm. For tickets, click HERE.

For the Q&A after the screening, the director, Dave O’Brien, producers, Alonzo Ruvalcaba & Ken Bielenberg, and several riders are expected to be in attendance.

Upcoming EU Premiere at NewFest

Equality U is set to premiere at NewFest, the New York LGBT Film Festival, on Wednesday, June 11th at 3:45pm. We’re thrilled to also have a second screening on Sunday, June 15th at 1:30pm. Both screenings will take place at the AMC Loews 34th St Theater.

After the 6/15 screening, producers Ken Bielenberg, Alonzo Ruvalcaba, and riders Jake Reitan, Alexey Bulokhov, Tommy Atz, and Monica Carmean will be on hand for Q&A.

Equality U Previews at Newport Beach

We screened EU at the Newport Beach Film Festival to an enthusiastic crowd. On hand for the screening were filmmakers (pictured, left to right): Alonzo Ruvalcaba (producer), Dave O’Brien (director), Philip Harrison (editor), Ken Bielenberg (producer).

Also in attendance was Robbie Kondor our fabulous composer whom we met in person for the first time after the screening! Robbie was previously New York-based and worked on the score remotely. It was great to finally chat face-to-face.

During the Q&A, one gentleman proclaimed, “After 30 years of working in the film industry, that was one of the most powerful films I’ve ever seen.” Comments like that make all the hard work worthwhile. Now, we’re looking forward to the next screenings in NYC at NewFest!

Something good on Tax Day - NewFest!

Exciting news! The programmers at the Newport Beach Film Festival viewed our screener DVD and really enjoyed the film. They want to screen Equality U at the festival in April. It looks like this will be our festival premiere.
