Evocative morphology; akin to sculpture and painting; Victoria Wilde’s intuitive fine art photography is visual poetry, timeless images that speak to us of things familiar, and desired. “Sculpted by the unconscious, insight comes not only from my process and influences, yet clearly also from those with whom I've worked closely in recent years, their influences & collaborations. “Coming into and out of form… my world was built in a universe of artists, and I have come to notice the reworking of that universe in my art… process of creation; photography engaging as distinctive discourse in yet another aesthetic streaming from the elements offered in existing works; unconscious impressions – discourse of psyche. “Evolving extensions, continuums of the life cycle of a piece, an original piece - Idea… something which endures - regenerating… pieces weaving together emit new form, manifesting a renewed vision. Transfiguration.” - - Victoria Wilde - Paris An interest since childhood, Victoria began exploring photography in the early 1980’s. In1995 she began formal studies. Her artwork goes beyond photography, expressed in writing, voice, dance and painting - using her body and dance as medium to transmit an image with paint and natural pigments. Born in New York in 1966, Victoria currently resides in Paris.
