Welcome To

God created man as a sinless being.  Man had perfect fellowship with God and there was nothing that separated them.  But the first man, Adam, and his wife Eve, made a wrong decision and sin came into the creation of the world.  Sin is when we do something wrong. Before sin there was no death or separation from God but now with sin, man became a mortal being and death became reality.  God did not leave man without hope though.  He made a way for man to be able to come back into perfect fellowship again and He provided a way to bridge the gap between man in sin and Himself.  In 1 Corinthians 15:22 it says, “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”  God made a way for us to have life again, He made this way as a gift, a free gift of salvation through faith in His Son Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God.”

The Bible says in Romans 6:9-13, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, for the scripture saith ‘whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.’ For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek; for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  This is the way of salvation.  All you need to do is believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, confess with your mouth your sin (those things you did wrong) and repent (have a change of mind and direction or choose to do right not wrong) asking the Lord to forgive you of the wrong and you shall be saved.

In order to have life we must find the Son.  In 1 John 5:11-13 it says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son, He that the the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”  God granted us eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ.

When we come to Christ, we lay down our old life of sin in order to take on His life.  In Galatians 2:20 it says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I , but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

We become new creations because of Christ living within us.  In 2 Corinthians 5:17 it says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”  God makes ALL THINGS new!  Your past is gone, washed by the blood of Jesus,  He makes ALL THINGS NEW!

Everyone has things in their lives that they are not proud of, but when we come to Christ He cleanses us and washes away all of those things.  He washes all of our sin away.  In 1 Corinthians 6:11 it says, “And such were some of you: but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”  God has sanctified and justified you.  Once you accept salvation he washes you clean.  In Ephesians 1:7 it says, “In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”  We have been redeemed!

Where we fell short of holiness and should have taken the blame for our sins, Christ died so that we could come to the Father free of sin.  In Galatians 3:13-14 it says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us: for it is written, ‘Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.’ That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles, through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

God brings us then to a new standard of living.  We no longer live according to our fleshly desires but according to the standard of holiness.  In Romans 12:1-2 it says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.”

God grants us faith.  In Romans 10:17 it says, “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  We need to read the Word of God and hear it so that faith can be built up in us. It is vital for believers to meet together, to fellowship and share their lives with one another, praying together and sharing the Word of God with each other.  In Acts 2:42 it talks about this saying, “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

It doesn’t end once you’ve received salvation.  It is a continual journey.  Stretching onward and upward in pursuit of the life of Christ.  It’s not always easy and there are bumps and gullies in the road but there is never need to be discouraged  because Christ will lead you and guide you and love you all the way and He will never leave you nor forsake you.  Excellent Spirit Ministries invites you to become a part of the family of God as we fellowship together and make Jesus our central focus.  Pray the sinner’s prayer, receive Christ today, and come be a part of our church family!
