We’ve had heavy rain showers and thunderstorms every day since we arrived. So, when the sun came out this afternoon, I noticed how the sun played on this little tree... and then how massive the metal plate was protecting the base of the tree. (I guess inner city streets are a rather alien and hostile environment for trees.)

 

I took a bit of time to draw this before going to dinner (food for the soul before food for the body.)
