We were enjoy a picnic lunch after our field trip to the TCU meteor gallery on July 7 when Misha spotted a campus police officer patrolling on this marvelous vehicle. The kids were all atwitter and the officer was not only nice enough to stop and talk with them but also allowed them to climb onboard, which thrilled them to no end. Evan also asked if he could shake hands with the officer and then said he had “always wanted to do that.” (There are all sorts of unexpected experiences out there to light up and enrich our adventures and they’re usually free. All we have to do is watch for them.)
