Heavy rains this afternoon ruled out going out to find a subject to sketch. However, I’ve always been fascinated by the structure of bell peppers. So, when a couple of the other readers devoured an entire red bell pepper from the salad bar I asked them if I could have the left-over seed pod. (Fortunately, I always carry a scrap of watercolor paper and a pocket watercolor set with my sketching gear.)
