2008 paintings

Here is a collection of paintings from this year.  Some are realistic landscapes and flowers and some are new abstracts.  I have also been experimenting with painting some of my new abstracts in gouache, which is an opaque watercolour, and gives a much flatter look which I think works well with abstracts.

At the beginning of this year I took a course with Mel Stabin from which I have rediscovered painting loose but fairly realistic landscapes which I have been enjoying.  During the same time I have continued on my ventures with abstract painting which has moved me to start a series of paintings of modern buildings.  I hope you enjoy these new paintings.
