I’m a writer and broadcaster, based in London.

I lived in Brazil for five years as the South America correspondent for the Guardian. My time there resulted in the book Futebol: The Brazilian Way of Life.

I was also the ghost-writer of Pelé: The Autobiography.

I am now writing a book on mathematics, which is due out in 2009.

My short films have been broadcast on the BBC, More4 and Al Jazeera International.
