We understand there is a difference between a runner and a looker.  Our challenge (and madness) is to bridge that gap.  One of our side projects is to build more accurate detail parts.  We plan to make these available in the future for public consumption.

DAK arsenal expands...

Forty Five tanks running and ten more under construction.  Our club is a little different from many R/C clubs in that we began as serious scale modelers who got hooked on R/C.  We added serious R/C guys later and managed to meld these interests.  Our intention is to build accurate scale model tanks that can still battle with the rest of them.

Our battlefield is a fluid environment with our goal being to build accurate scenes from WWII.  Starting in the Afrikan desert, we built an Axis airfield and crafted palm trees and Tobruk style obstacles.   Our buildings follow a middle-eastern pattern and include such specific sites as Kasserine Pass and the El Alemein train station.  The progress has been fast and only budget and time is slowing us down.

Phase III now includes european bridges, buildings, and and improved railroad.  New terrain features include 2 tunnels and an expanded mountain range.  A private project of mine is the Stalingrad tank factory.  We hope to add an entirely urban portion soon.
