17. White Balance - Color-correction using a neutral tone
Color correcting files in Adobe Camera Raw is really easy if you have a neutral gray tone you can click on with the White Balance Tool. Some images have a neutral tone that is part of the subject matter, many do not. In these instances you can either introduce a neutral tone in the form of a photographers gray card or a white balance reference card or use a product called the Expodisc. The Expodisc is placed in front of your camera lens so that you can either create an accurate custom white balance setting for the lighting conditions you are photographing in or create a reference frame that can be used to color-correct your images in post-production.
