There are new ‘Luminance’ sliders in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw (in the full version of Photoshop CS3 only) which are much more useful than the Lightness slider in the Hue/Saturation adjustment feature for lightening and darkening selected colors. This is due to the fact that the Luminace sliders do not lower the saturation as the selected color, or colors, are made lighter or darker. Unfortunately these Luminance sliders have not made it to Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. We can however still adjust the luminance of selected colors in Photoshop Elements with a simple workaround. The podcast shows you how.
