Theorems and Dead Silence

Question:   Is making up an answer, not attaching yourself to that answer, but is that not part of the creative process? Is that not where ego is valuable, to be creative, and come up with an hypothesis, and throw an answer out there, and then... but not take it very seriously. Kind of throw something out there and try it on.

Erich:   Yes, I do that, too. But, I would vote let the theorems come from your silent mind. You know, let an intuitiveness be the inspiration of the theorem.

Q:   I never get them, otherwise.

Erich:   The what?

Q:   They don’t come from anywhere else. It’s just dead silence. I don’t know where else it comes from.
