You’re not supposed to compare one kid with the other, but, dang-it, it’s nearly impossible not to do so.  All week, Sarah and I and our moms have been remarking on the differences and similarities between Drew and Allie.  One of the biggest came last night when we gave Allie her first bath.

 

I had a suspicion that bath time for Allie would be easier: at the hospital, the nurse who gave her the “out of the womb” bath remarked that we were in trouble because “this girl likes to get her hair done.”  Allie’s sponge bath last night proved the nurse right.  With Drew’s first bath, the neighbors nearly called CPS on us.  Allie was content through the whole thing.

 

One unexpected side-effect of her bath, however, is that her hair is getting a little crazy, just like Drew’s did at that age.

 

We took Allie to the doc yesterday.  Our new pediatrician is great.  She’s very down o earth, though she repeats herself a lot!  Anyway, Allie dropped 7 ounces since Monday, so we need to keep giving her supplemental feedings.  We go back Tuesday for another weigh-in.  Hopefully, she’ll have gained enough weight so that we can stop the supplemental feeding...that will make the nights a lot easier to get through (at least for me!).
