2007 Introduction

The Backyard Film Festival was introduced in 2003 by Eric Beaudry and Joe Lueben as a way to present their films in an outdoor setting on a big screen -- like a drive-in movie without the cars.  Starting with only 20 guests and 3 films the first year, the Backyard Film Festival has grown substantially each year, welcoming close to 150 guests and 14 short films in 2007.  Entries for the festival have grown steadily, encouraging filmmakers from Minnesota and beyond to submit their own short films.
