Broadway.  A world famous example of performance excellence.  Only the best of the best perform their works on a Broadway stage.  Many of the performers you see on our stage have long aspired to perform on a Broadway stage as well.  Enter Best of Broadway.

UNISTA's Best of Broadway aspires to bring a taste of the New York City theatrical experience to the Cedar Valley area.  Our performers are talented singers and dancers that seek to bring the Broadway stage alive here.  We offer selections you love already - songs from Chicago, Company, and Little Shop of Horrors - as well as selections we promise you will love from shows such as Parade, Avenue Q and Spring Awakening.  Our music director, Joel Waggoner, has created compelling arrangements of several of these pieces, and choreographer Amanda Juhl brings us inspired dances that will have you humming along and tapping your foot all night.  There is truly something for everyone.

What is more thrilling to us is the versatility of our 20-member ensemble.  The cast includes talent from a wide variety of majors across campus; we believe that we have assembled a group of students that represent some of the best talent that UNI has to offer.  What's more, it should be mentioned that the production is entirely student-produced through the UNI Student Theatre Association (UNISTA).  Students have worked long hours to prepare for this production, in addition to working on Theatre UNI mainstage production assignments, taking full course-loads and holding part-time jobs.
