I am a music professor at Lake Forest College on the north shore of Chicago and a composer. I’ve written mostly electronic music, but have also written for chorus, for instruments, and for the stage and screen. Biographical Details:


  1. •Born January 5, 1966.

  2. •Grew up in Davis, California.

  3. •B.A. 1988 UC Santa Barbara, major in Liberal Studies.

  4. •M.A. (1992) and Ph.D. (1994) in Music from UC Davis.

  5. •Since 1995, I’ve been music professor at Lake Forest College, in Lake Forest, IL.

  6. •Since 2005, Chair of the music department there.

  7. •Married in 1990 to the artist Liz Meyer.

  8. •Two children: Zach (b. 1993) and Zoe (b. 1997).

 

Some Influences:

I am always interested in working with artists, poets, dancers and film-makers. I have several big projects in the works as I write this, but would welcome ideas for new collaborations.
