I am a mother and a metal sculptor, in that order. The exploration of pregnant forms in clay and non-ferrous metals has preoccupied my art for some time. The themes of fertility and birth in my metal work developed into floral interpretations that are hammer formed in copper and brass sheet metal. I've spent some of the past 24 years hammering, welding, brazing, soldering, firing, glazing, drawing, doodling, documenting, photographing, birthing, nursing, gardening, mothering, teaching and absorbing life.
