Chicago Hand Bookbinders
Chicago Hand Bookbinders was founded in 1978 to promote awareness, understanding and appreciation of books made by hand. Our members are amateur, student and professional binders and other people from the general public who are interested in the book arts.
Our aims are to learn from one another through sharing of skills and techniques; to educate the public through exhibitions and demonstrations; and to encourage the highest standards in the craft of bookbinding. Membership is open to anyone interested in the book arts. We invite you to join.
Meetings are usually held in the evenings once every other month at various locations in the Chicago area. Check the Calendar page for upcoming events. Each meeting includes an interesting and informative presentation on a different aspect of the book arts. Dues are $20 a year and include a bi-monthly newsletter.
