The blows continue to come faster and harder now. Wednesday we returned to the hospital to have another ultrasound done and see what the insides looked like. The Dr. informed us that Crystal had two large cysts growing on her left ovary. When I say large, I mean like baseballs! These things were huge! On Thursday we made an appointment with her OBGYN to see what he would have to say about it and what would need to be done. Immediately he was very concerned and said that if they ruptured it could has severe internal bleeding, and worse.
He told us that she would have having surgery that evening to remove them. So we went home, packed a few things, called in the troops to help us out. One family to watch Austin for a few days, someone to take us to the hospital.
The surgery went just fine. The Dr was able to get it all, actually removing 3 cysts and some scar tissue that was causing some trouble. The next order of business is to start a treatment that will prevent these cysts in the future. Some of you may remember that Crystal had this same problem last year.
So one more hospital stay down, and hopefully no more to go. We can’t take much more of this! We’ve been joking that we can now write a survey on most every hospital in the city. We’re experts! I called a friend the other day to let them now how things were going and accidently said hotel instead of hospital.
We miss Austin like crazy. He’s been hanging out at Aunt Paul’s house for two days now. Crystal only got to see him for about an hour yesterday, so she’s dying to see the little man. Hope he remembers us.
