Mex Thoughts

The other day I was sitting in between classes thinking about our present circumstances, praying, and seeking God a bit for some clearer direction. A good friend of mine and a “pastor to missionaries” from our mission wrote me an encouraging e-mail based on the verses in Isaiah 40 speaking of God’s great strength He issues to us when we are weak. Man I’m so glad He sustains us through times like these. I sat thinking about these verses: The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. Those who wait, will gain new strength, they will mount up with eagles wings, run and not get weary, walk and not faint.
First I praise God that in this time while we are “running” He is sustaining us with the strength we need to get through. It’s been a tough few weeks.
But then I felt almost slapped in the face with a question. Are these circumstances about us? I had to answer that in fact, no they are not about us at all. We may be in the midst of it all, but it’s really all about God. It has to be.
I still have to ask though, God what are You up to? And am I ready for what you are about to do through us?
Just use us God. Don’t hold anything back.

What’s the Deal?
