Society for Archaeological Sciences, SAA Annual Meeting
The Society for Archaeological Sciences (SAS) will offer prizes for the best student archaeometric posters presented at the 2007 Annual Meeting of the Society for American Archaeology (Austin, Texas). One or two awards will be given, depending of the quality of entries. Prizes include a one-year membership in the SAS, including the quarterly Bulletin, and a monetary award of $100 (US). The student should be the first author and the presenter of the poster. Criteria for the award are significance of the archaeological problem, appropriateness of the archaeometric methods used, soundness of conclusions, quality of the poster display, and oral presentation of the poster.
To apply, please send a copy of the poster abstract (indicating student author), a correspondence address, and the name and date of the session in which the poster will be presented.
