In this series I am creating images that fragment reality. Being interested in nature and natural surrounds has led me to wonder about reality; what is it, are we truly aware of our surroundings? Are things what they seem? I take known elements and rearrange the parts; reconstructing reality from the fragments. First, I stage assemblages, of either man-made or natural materials, in a variety of natural surroundings and take digital photographs of them. Next, using my computer, I alter the images using various drawing and photography software programs to layer, re-color then re-manipulate even more until I am satisfied with the resulting fragmentation. I seek to surprise myself with the outcome and the possibilities. Digital Fragmentations
