CHAA COBA
Projects in Anthropology, the Arts, Business and Linguistics The CHAA COBA (“Aid Coba”) Project is founded on the principle that each of us holds the power and responsibility to eradicate extreme poverty. The project is dedicated to service learning, humanitarian assistance, and economic development to provide a context for the achievement of personal freedom on the grassroots level.

CHAA COBA works to provide resources to liberate and empower local villagers. The program consists of international travel and interdisciplinary experiences for undergraduate students each January and March. Students have given formal indisciplinary research presentations at SUNY Geneseo Great Day and at national and international conferences. The program has been operating since 1990.

CHAA COBA online service provides information on the project and portal gateways into Maya culture, past, present and future.
