Ok this is a non~ knitting post. EXCEPT for that I compulsively checked the Ravelry page for when I would get the invite. And then I realized that since I barely manage to keep up with this blog I shouldn’t be worried overly much about getting into another knit thang. But those Ravelry gals have managed to make getting an ‘invite’ so huge. I know it wasn’t on purpose but it is an invite. Like somebody specifically wanted You so Invited You because You are Special. When really its a matter of sign up and your in sooner or later. By my calculations I will get my invite by the end of next month. Compulsive.
I am working dutifully on the Jays and I did promise to show you the huge difference that stitch count made for my lovely Opal Zebra print yarn. Scroll down to Friday’s post and look at the horrid, amazingly ugly, blob of black on white ground sock. Every single round the black stacked right on top of the black on previous round. Oh sure it slowly migrated a few stitches to the left but ugh. Compare that to the fast moving black bits~ they still spiral but each row of black starts in about 9 to 10 sts to left of black on previous round~ Ok ready?
Out of focus but looksie~ stripes! Zebra stripes! In a chevron! Zebra stripes ala Chevron = yesssssssss thank you so much. Who cares if I will probably have to give them away.... cuteness rules.
And speaking of cute: see that cute girl frolicking in the grass wearing little more than her skivvies? Thats ME. Wanna see a less winsome picture of ME ME ME? Here is one of me saying where’s my ravelry invite already:
