Still more pictures of me because the Zebra Sock looks pretty much the same today as it did yesterday. Actually I did turn the heel and the gusset but I don’t feel like taking another picture of them.
Yesterday started another round of Discardia. This one runs through 10, Oct. so not overly long. Now I don’t often practice Discardia but I popped into the site this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find a new cycle had just started. Even more fabby was the fact that I had discarded an old desk, Ebayed off several books, sent off a box of yarn and packed up another, and corralled most of my sock yarn with the goal of reducing it by half. It seems rather opportune that I have been a busy bee in regards to organizing and downsizing my stuff just as Discardia begins.
OK now that I have reminded all my readers about Discardia we have the obligatory warning that I shall be hawking sock yarn before the 10th. Really. Because not all my readers participate in the getting rid of stuff holiday. My holiday is your boon.
In other news~ my prediction of being invited to join the Ravelry peeps has been changed. They were inviting @100 folks/day but all of a sudden they are inviting @500 folks//day. I now predict I shall get an invite by end of this week! And according to the podcast I listened to last night while turning my heel almost everybody sits on site for days on end with no sleep or break when first joining. I think that means I will be busy actually taking pictures.
And now I must admit I’m starving so yarny days and knitterly evenings, Elka
