For some reason, today was the day it felt like a real garden. Maybe it’s the plants that are now grown all the way from seed, maybe it’s that now more beds are planted than not planted. Feels good, whatever the case. All in two months.
However, it does - albeit briefly - remind me of what I’ve put off to make it feel like a garden! We still have a big pile of dirt from digging out the bushes, and a retaining wall that needs to be built before the rains come...
Left: Indeed they did look better in the morning - the lettuce looked great... until about 5pm, when it got too hot. And looked nearly dead again. Yikes.
