I have been cataloging our journey toward simple, sustainable living since we made the big leap back in May of 2007.  We finally brought our blog online in September 2007, and our visitors have been growing exponentially since then.  We love that you are out there, pushing us forward, and offering your words of wisdom and support.  Thanks for reading!

From Our Home Page:

For three years Matt and I lived in a tiny Los Angeles apartment next to the biggest superhighway in the country. Finally the daily grind of freeway construction outside our window, my asthma rapidly getting worse, and a completely unsustainable lifestyle drove us out of town. A twist of events led us to northern Sonoma County, CA, where we rented a house on 1/2 acre, adjacent to a vineyard, outside of a small town of 1,600 people.  

But that didn’t quite work out.  It was good, and gave us time and space to figure out our next steps, but it wasn’t as sustainable as we’d hoped.  So with high hopes and open minds, we’ve moved to my home town of Seattle!  Here we’re continuing our quest for a sustainable life focused on gardening, local food, limited carbon emissions, and an overall frugal, green and simple lifestyle.  We welcome your thoughts as we share our experiences, our research, our mistakes and hopefully a few successes!  - Melinda
